Are stock helmet communicator speakers good enough?
For most riders, yes. Stock speakers (most premium comms) sound decent. Audiophiles upgrade to premium speakers (Cardo JBL upgrades) for noticeable improvement.
How do I install upgraded helmet speakers?
Most premium comms have field-replaceable speakers. Pop out the existing speakers, insert the upgraded ones in the same pocket. Connector is usually plug-and-play.
Why do my helmet speakers sound thin?
Common causes: speaker placement (move closer to ear), audio source (low-quality streaming), volume too low (speakers don't drive at their peak below 60%). Helmet liner padding can muffle — adjust positioning.
