All SPI brake shoes or pads are: 1) non-asbestos, semi-metallic Kevlar/carbon fiber, or 2) full metal brakes contains copper, carbon, tin, lead and other metallic elements
Full metal brake pads are 'GG' rated-hi torque and friction for hi-performance machines
Semi-metallic pads and shoes are 'FF' rated
