- The 4Â’ 8Â’Â’ leading strap forms a soft hitch on the towing machine. The 7Â’ 3Â’Â’ back strap passes through the front strap. Then both ends of the back strap loop around the spindles and hook back over the strap to form an equal pull between all 3 soft hitches
